Welcome to Maison Bleue Moderne, the newest Featured Home to debut at Modernism Week 2022.
A classic Krisel roofline and ocean-hued entry make the Modernism Week Featured Home: Maison Bleue Moderne stand out as a true gem in Palm Springs’ Vista las Palmas neighborhood.
Originally designed in the 1950s by Desert Modernist William Krisel and built by the Alexander Company, this property was artfully redesigned by Michelle Boudreau Design. Inspired by the owners’ colorful personalities and passion for sailing and travel, the celebrated designer seamlessly merged materials and new spaces with modern technology, while respecting the existing midcentury cherished design details.
Guests can enjoy spectacular mountain views framed by forty feet of windows, while taking in variations of aquatic colors throughout the home. Touches of corals and blush, along with walnut wood elements, add warmth and softness while round shapes recur as a theme.
Contemporary lighting fixtures by Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting marry elegant form with practical function throughout the home.
Surprising textures and pops of color by Dunn-Edwards Paints add visual interest to every room. Window treatments by Hunter Douglas provide superior energy efficiency while striking the perfect balance between light and privacy.
Blackened Brizo faucets in the master bathroom serve as the perfect base to complement a bold, graphic statement tile.
Can’t wait to experience even more design inspiration in person? Neither can we! Click here to book tours of this must-see residence during Modernism Week.
