Nino Ferrari-Mathis

Nino Ferrari-Mathis is an architecture graduate from Parsons School of Design and the creator of @NinosBuildings, a platform focused on documenting and celebrating modernist architecture. Having grown up between Brazil and France, he was always surrounded by modernist design. Seeing how the same movement took on different forms in each place made him curious about why buildings from the same period can look so different. That curiosity led him to study architecture, with a focus on archival research and midcentury architects. Through @NinosBuildings, his videos explore the visual impact of modernism, as well as the ideas, craftsmanship, and social goals behind them.

Lori Saunders-Rodgers and Kenny Rodgers

Lori Saunders-Rodgers is a “southern belle” from the Peach State (Georgia), who has adopted the MidCentury Modern (MCM) culture of Palm Springs. About two years after moving to the area, Lori moved into a MCM Condo community (Sandpiper) and fell in love with this style of living that was new to her. It was perfect for hosting and entertaining, but more importantly, it was her sanctuary. She loved how open and bright it was. After ten years, she moved, but if “Midcentury Modern” was on a(n) (architectural) dating app, she would DM it immediately because it is the perfect match for her personality! Her knowledge and relationship with MCM grows deeper each year. Her earthy spirit is attracted to MCM’s connection to nature. One day she will meet the right one (MCM house) and move in right away. When you know, you know! Nothing quite gives her the feeling that MCM does. It is simple, yet functional. Follow along to see if she makes that perfect love (house) connection!

Kenny Rodgers is an advocate for architecture, design, and modernist living who has helped finance and develop over $550 million in housing projects throughout the Greater Palm Springs area. A lover of modernist materials and thoughtful design, he is drawn to how structures are integrated into their environment—maximizing light, views, and livability while maintaining elegance and retreat. Serving as an advocate and ambassador for Modernism Week is especially fulfilling for Kenny, as it brings together a world of his passions: housing, design, fashion, style, and individualism. For him, modernism represents more than an architectural movement—it is a world of elegance and retreat, a philosophy of living well, and a timeless expression of personal and cultural identity.

Chrissi Hernandez

Chrissi Hernandez took her first flight at 18 and hasn’t stopped exploring since. At 21, she was cast in a reality show that sent her backpacking across Europe for two months, and from that moment on, she was hooked. After college, she put her savings toward a bold adventure, moving to Costa Rica for six months to immerse herself in a completely different culture. When she’s not working as a Creative Director, you’ll likely find her off on a new adventure, traveling the world, hiking or biking with friends, diving into tropical waters, or dancing to live music. Chrissi is passionate about exploration, whether it’s discovering a new country, hitting a local trail, or finding a fresh track to add to her playlist. She has a deep appreciation for life and all the experiences this world has to offer.
