Why settle for just one wallpaper pattern when you can have two? The green colors in both the floral and patterned wallpaper designs at the Modernism Week Featured Home: Seventies Sackley complement each other, and create an opulent vibe. Other than the motifs from the wallpaper reappearing in the bedding, the rest of the decor is pared down and neutral. This guest bedroom in the Seventies Sackley was lovingly restored and reimagined by Michael Ostrow and Roger Stoker of Grace Home Furnishings.

The Desert Wave, designed by Walter S. White and restored by Stayner Architects, mixes period-specific designs with contemporary touches to allow the house to exist across multiple time periods rather than making it an archive of the past. The pared back design allows guests to enjoy the swooping roof while the sliding glass doors make the space feel expansive.

This surreal bedroom in the Frey House II by Albert Frey was designed to have as little impact on the surrounding environment. Instead of removing the enormous boulder from the mountainside, Frey built into and around it. The home integrated the mass in the design and uses it as a natural partition between the living and sleeping spaces.
