Modernism Week Today – 02.17.17

Modernism Week’s daily dispatch announcing available tickets and last minute news.

As you settle in for opening weekend of Modernism Week, remember that you can use this handy feature to figure out your personal itinerary.  While online tickets are no longer available for today, you can still purchase tickets on-site at CAMP. Here’s what you need to know at Modernism Week today!

CAMP

CAMP is your outpost for Modernism Week information. Stop by the Ferguson Kitchen to enjoy tasty samples from Thermador chefs, kick up your feet in the Room & Board Lounge, or grab a bite from Cheeky’s To Go. Test drive a luxurious new Giulia sedan during the Alfa Romeo Ride Along Experience, all weekend long (first come, first served basis). For each ride, Desert Alfa Romeo will make a donation to Modernism Week’s scholarship program. Be sure to also check out the Corian Pop-Up Studio and other sponsor installations!

Tours

Don’t miss your chance to see two new Desert Modern architectural masterpieces at the Chino Canyon Project: open for tours daily through Feb 26, reserved tickets guarantee timed entry, but tickets also available at the door. Tickets are $50.

Exhibitions

If you missed the A+D Museum’s FAST FORWARD Architecture of William F. Cody exhibition in Los Angeles, catch it at the Palm Springs Public Library, $10, open daily throughout Modernism Week during regular library hours. Art Palm Springs will also be taking place at the Palm Springs Convention Center through February 19.

Parties

Be the first to see this year’s amazing collection at the Palm Springs Modernism Show and Sale Preview Party.  Swing by Baldwin Hardware’s booth at the Preview Party for a chance to win a Palm Springs midcentury modern handleset. A quick turn of a key could unlock endless design possibilities! Tickets for the Preview Party are still available at the door, $85.
