Night at the Mansion

Join our Opening Celebration at Greystone Mansion.

A true gem of Beverly Hills, the Greystone Mansion is a must-see destination for anyone interested in California’s rich cultural heritage. As you step onto the grand estate, you are immediately transported back in time to the golden age of Hollywood. The iconic mansion has not only played a significant role in the film industry but also boasts a rich and storied history that renders an indispensable destination for both visitors and locals alike.

Constructed by oil tycoon Edward L. Doheny for his son in 1928, the Greystone Mansion showcases the luxurious lifestyle of the wealthy elite of the early 20th century. Its design is a brilliant relic of Tudor Revival architecture, which blends modern luxury with the grandeur of medieval England. The exterior features locally-sourced stone walls, half-timbering, and prominent cross-gables that evoke a sense of refinement and sophistication.

The manor has also played an integral role in Hollywood’s history. It has been the backdrop for many films, television shows, and music videos over the years. Some of the most famous productions filmed at the mansion include “The Big Lebowski,” “The Witches of Eastwick,” and “The Bodyguard.” Walking about the property, you can almost feel the presence of Hollywood legends who have graced its halls.

No matter what part of the historic estate intrigues you the most, you’ll have the chance to experience it all at the exciting May 3, 2023 kick-off event for MADE in Beverly Hills: Night at the Mansion. As you arrive, you’ll be greeted with a glass of wine in the mansion’s dramatic courtyard. While enjoying charcuterie and refreshments, you’ll have the chance to mingle with fellow guests as well as Councilmembers and the Mayor of Beverly Hills, who will welcome everyone to the inaugural celebration of this exciting new citywide event.

As the LA sun sets over the Greystone Mansion, you’ll be treated to lively and infectious music by The Dreamboats. You can dance the night away in the whimsical ambiance of the estate’s garden, or simply relax and enjoy the performance while taking in its historic grandeur. Don’t miss out on this lively and intimate soiree.

Over the following weekend, on May 4 and 6, you will have the opportunity to partake in the Greystone Mansion Self-Guided Tour, where you’ll get to explore twelve of its most special spaces, plus three historic bathrooms. From the grand two-story living room to the formal dining room, library, guest bedrooms, historic kitchens, intimate breakfast room, and the recently restored 35 seat theater, each room is steeped in rich Hollywood history and breathtaking Tudor Revival interior.

In addition to the mansion’s interior, the grounds of Greystone will be open to the public. Located on a hillside overlooking Beverly Hills, the terraced gardens and lawns designed by landscape architect Paul Thiene span approximately 18 acres and feature formal gardens, slate courtyards, and the beloved cypress lane. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the grounds before or after your timed entry into the mansion.

We can’t wait to celebrate the opening of MADE in Beverly Hills with you!
