How to CAMP Out at Modernism Week

Modernism Week pitches CAMP in downtown Palm Springs.

With hundreds of events scheduled throughout the city during the eleven-day celebration, the Community and Meeting Place, fondly known as CAMP, is the perfect starting point for all visitors to Modernism Week.  This year, a vacant parking lot will be transformed into a pop-up village for visiting modernistas.

Stop in for ticketing and information as well as lectures and talks in the theater.  Don’t miss delicious demonstrations by Thermador chefs and other activities in the Ferguson Kitchen. Be sure to check out the Corian Pop-Up Studio, and take a scenic test ride with the Alfa Romeo Ride Experience.  And stop by sponsor displays and peruse the Modernism Week Shop for midcentury-inspired goodies.  Cheeky’s To Go will provide the nosh, and a full bar will feature specialty cocktails and refreshments to make any happy hour even happier.  And if you need a place to sit down and get your bearings, take a load off in the Room & Board lounge before catching the next tour.

Check out the full CAMP Schedule for more information.  CAMP is free and open to the public from 10am to 7pm daily, with over 25 ticketed talks, presentations and films with prices ranging from $10 to $50. Visitors are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.
