Today at Modernism Week – 02.15.18

Modernism Week officially kicks off today! We can’t wait to celebrate another year of midcentury architecture, design, culture, and more with each of you. Read on for today’s event highlights.

CAMP

CAMP opens its doors tomorrow at 9:00 a.m.but you can check it out on 230 Museum Way, across the street from the Palm Springs Art Museum. Come by starting February 16 to get tickets at the box office, see interactive art and design exhibitions, watch Thermador chef demos in the Ferguson Kitchen, fuel up on Cheeky’s to Go, test drive an Alfa Romeo, and more. Full schedule of CAMP events here.


EXHIBITIONS

Celebrate the legacy of two celebrated Palm Springs architects with these special exhibitions. See the best of Donald Wexler’s iconic work at “Donald Wexler: An Architectural Legacy” at the Palm Springs Library, open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m(free). “Walter S. White Exhibition : A Sojourn in the Desert” will feature drawings and photographs of White’s work in the desert, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Joslyn Center (free).


PARTIES

Last chance to get tickets for this week’s hottest cocktail events! See the Big Reveal of the West Elm House 2018: The Pool House ($95) or feel the tiki beat at the Royal Hawaiian Estates ($125) tomorrow night. On Saturday, get ready for La Fiesta Moderna ($175) and a splendid soiree at the Modernism Week Showcase Home – Moroccan Modern ($100).
